JOIN our WhatsApp groupThe Government of the United Republic of Tanzania, through the President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance, invites qualified Tanzanian citizens to apply for teaching positions at both Degree and Diploma levels. These positions aim to strengthen the education sector by deploying competent teachers in Government schools and other accredited institutions across the country. The announcement is made under the Public Service Act and its accompanying regulations to ensure a transparent and merit-based recruitment process.
Applicants for these positions should possess relevant academic qualifications in education. Degree holders must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government, while Diploma holders must have a Diploma in Education or Diploma in Secondary Education. Registration with the Teachers’ Council of Tanzania (TC) and previous teaching experience will be considered as added advantages. Candidates are expected to demonstrate professionalism, teaching competence, and commitment to nurturing learners both academically and morally.
All interested applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged not more than 45 years, unless otherwise provided for by public service regulations. Applicants are required to submit their applications through the official Ajira Portal at https://portal.ajira.go.tz. Applications submitted through other means will not be accepted. Every application must include copies of relevant academic and professional certificates, a birth certificate, and any supporting documents. Those who studied abroad must ensure their qualifications are verified by TCU, NECTA, or NACTE, depending on the level of study.
The deadline for submission of applications will be no later than 23:59 hours on the closing date indicated in the Ajira Portal. Late applications will not be processed.
