Uchambuzi wa Riwaya (Novels English Analysis)

 

 

Once we have chosen a novel, we can begin to consider the following aspects:

Author: Who wrote the novel? Do you know anything about their writing style or their other works?

Characters: Who are the main characters? What are their characteristics? How do their behaviors develop and how do they relate to the events that occur?

Theme: What is the main theme discussed in the novel? Are there any subthemes that connect to the main theme?

Plot: How does the story progress? Are there any major plot changes?

Point of view: From what point of view is the story told? Is it first person, third person, or second person?

Setting: The place and time in which the story takes place. How does the setting influence the story?

 Language: The type of language used. What does the language reveal about the characters and the setting?

 Proverbs and Symbols: Are there any proverbs or symbols used in the novel? What do they mean?

 Theme: Are there any themes that emerge in the novel? For example, love, hate, and  hostility.
